After passing an online test which tested whether someone was ready for a driving test, and getting the new car, I finally decided it was prime time I should go to the driving school. After some minutes dedicating to performing a rigorous local search on Google for the best driving school I could find, I finally came up with three options. I had to choose only one so I went through all three websites and looked for specific information like time required for the test and the like. Then I rang up the companies to negotiate a rate as I had gotten a 15% discount rate from the Car retail corporation. Thankfully, they all agreed on using it so I was still left to rack my brains. Finally, I chose the one which was nearest to my house. I called them up to confirm it and they agreed on 12 am the next day. I was all jumpy with excitement - I was finally gonna learn how to drive! 12 am couldn't come fast enough and it felt like it was some years later. The time passed like a snail! I couldn't even sleep for most of the night of excitement but I was still fresh as anything in the morning, fresh than ever, in fact. After having a slice of toast with some jam and getting ready in the special clothes I'd picked up for driving, I took to waiting again, this time on the couch. It was as boring as ever. Finally, at 11, when I couldn't take it anymore, I persuaded my brother to drop me off early as I was getting annoyed beyond measure. The bad traffic situation made us reach the driving school at around 11:40. There were many other candidates over there too, many the same age as me. It was fun looking at all the different Car Portraits around the walls hung over there and chatting with all the other teens present there. It was more fun than boring talk shows on the television, at least.

It was finally 12 a.m. I was sitting in the practise car. The instructor was right next to me. I was really gonna DRIVE!! WE started with the basic stuff like the gearshift, the handbrakes and all the different pedals and stuff. Towards the end of the day, I could finally drive a 100 metres without a crash. From there, we moved on and in less than a week, I was ready for my driving test! The driving school was awesome!!
