Everyone needs to have some car driving lessons at some point in their life. It doesn't matter if they're babies, reckless teenagers, or in their death bed about to die from lung cancer from inhaling too much gasoline fumes from the cars around them. They all need to learn how to drive a car.
There are various types of motor vehicles that the babies, the young, and the old can try. There is the regular car, the motorcycle, the truck, and the van. For those who areenvironmentallyconcerned, there is also the standard bike that can be pedaled. There is also the skate board and roller blades, but we won't be focusing on those. This is about motor transportation, not transportation in general.
The most important type of people who need car driving lessons are, obviously, teenagers. Given how we structure society, babies and young children tend to not drive cars, whereas when they start to become "of age" they start driving cars. As adults, and until they become much older, car skills tend to stay in retention.
As it is, accidents areoccurringregularly. This tells me that something is wrong. Since car driving lessons are regularly and consistently given, I suspect that car driving lessons are not the department which is lacking when it comes to car crashes. This instead seems to be the result of other factors.
The question then becomes what those other factors are. Some immediate suggestions that comes to mind are beer, cell phones, noisy friends, ADHD, bad vision, and listening to an iPod. And if these things occurred all at the same time, a car crash basically becomes inevitable.
What can be done to prevent accidents? Can or could there be a design to simply prevent the possibility altogether? Or would self-disciplinebe the answer? For most of these problems, it seems that the situation itself can be avoided, and is.
When a group of people get drunk, a DD (designated driver) is appointed. Cell phones, unless it's texting, generally don't get in the way. And if they do, then that person needs to pull over to the side of the road more. Bad vision is easily solved by getting glasses. And listening to an iPod isn't terribly bad, but it isn't recommended if you need full attention on the road.
Generally, then, it seems that accidents and crashes occur not when car driving lessons are not provided, but when excessive carelessness comes into play.
