I have enjoyed driving ever since my very first lesson, I never particularly thought much about whether I wanted to drive when I was younger. I just assumed I would start learning when I was 17. I had hoped to get a nice car at least, my parents said they would help me buy a car because they got one for my sister a few years earlier. I never really liked her motor car, it was ugly and cheap so I always said I will help them buy a nice one.

In the end I got a nice car, much better than my sister's but it was still a typical cheap new driver's motorcar. I never complained though, it was my car and I liked it, I enjoyed driving it, and I enjoyed cleaning it, even though it never looked very clean when I was finished.

I studied for my theory test but I didn't really put too much effort into that at first, but once my theory test was approaching I crammed in some studying and I managed to get really good marks on it. The next thing was to take my driving test. During my driving lessons uk weather was just awful sometimes, but my instructor said at least I was able to learn in all conditions, and night time was apparently the hardest to learn in and this was during winter so I managed to get a lot of night driving in.

I would like to travel more, and now that I can drive I feel independent and able to travel where ever I wish. I would like to go on a day trip to France with my boyfriend, but I am scared, it is a long way to travel if I am the only driver! I have a new motor car now, so I enjoy driving even more, there is no need to feel at all embarrassed as I have a lovely respectable car now. I was so good in my theory test that I am considering doing another test which would bring my insurance costs down. It's definitely worth a try because then I can save more money for travelling!
