Today we had a theory test on skiphire. I was educating my parents on using the Internet. We had a good connection, it just seemed right that they know all the possibilities with regards being online.My mother understood the theory test but my father didn't. He asked with a smile if he could borrow my motorbike. I look at him and smiled but said nothing. I wanted him to take this theory test seriously.I wanted them to understand about email, or looking online for something or ordering food online.

There are so many great benefits to being connected to the Internet. I wanted to show them how to search on Google for the scooter I bought online.I set them the taste of locating the Website and finding the model I'd bought. My parents liked challenges anyway and I liked creating these types of games. I told my father eventually he could ride my motorbike if they passed the test.I looked at my mother and offered her the scooter which she always liked the look of but never dared to ride.

I told her I'd teach her and that it would be very slow paced.Needless to say I watched over them like a hawk. They seemed to be really into it but originally they struggled by the amount of data that resulted from searches. They were fascinated by the whole keyword Idea.However it also put them off in that they asked me what my keywords were. I had tried to explain it all before hand but I think only now it was sinking in. However I gave them help here and there but nothing too obvious.

Within two hours they found the Website and ten minutes later there it was on screen. The elation on their face was something to behold. I couldn't stop smiling. I knew that it was difficult for them as they had absolutely no experience with computers.I was happy to give the keys to my motorbike to my father though I told him to be careful. I was also delighted to see my mother riding my scooter.

She got so much enjoyment out of it and I did tooWith their new found confidence they were able later that day to find a good skiphire site which I proceeded to bookmark for later reference.
