Debra never expected to own a classic car. She was happy to get to travel as an airline stewardess and make enough money to keep her in the clothes she so loved to wear. School was never something she intended to do again either, but life will sometimes make plans for you, you never expected. Times were hard and with layoffs going around everywhere she wasn’t totally shocked when her name came up. After all, she hadn’t been on the job all that long, it was only to be expected she would be one of the first employees to be let go. Sitting next to the skip bins hire was her little Volkswagen, where she had to throw all of her possessions she had kept in her locker at work. Hopefully she would get to come back one day.

Going back to school wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. It would take many hours of study she knew. Something she would have to work hard for. It would be worth it to just get these school courses done. To become a travel agent was something she had once dreamed of, now she could make it a reality with just a little more time.

The classic car was a bit of a surprise, her uncle had left it to her when he passed away a month ago. Having no children of his own, she had often gone for a spin with him in it and now she owned a classic car. She would have to take it with her if she could once she found her job, but if it was too far, she would just have to have it stored instead. The one place she always wanted to travel and see was Hawaii. Who knows if she will get there this year or next, but one of these days she would visit or possibly live there.

The next year went by so fast for her, she finally finished the course she needed and landed a job in New York. The city was huge and not something she ever thought she could get used to. Once she moved out of her aunt's flat and into her own apartment. She began to find her way into this new world.
