All my life I would travel to school in my parent's car. But now that I had left school and I was at college I would travel by bus. I did think college was much better than school but I knew that to travel in car was much greater than travelling on the bus because buses are slower and there was always people who would get on the bus that would annoy me. At least if I was in the car I did not have that problem. For example; there was one time when an old woman got on the bus and instead of just sitting there quietly like everybody else, because most people just sit there with their earphones plugged into their ears and listening to music, this woman instead decided to start shouting and ranting to the strangers sat near her about a skip for hire. I mean, of all things, she had to start rambling on about a skip. It was ridiculous. I just wanted to shout at her or scream at her, but I did not want to look like I was disrespecting anybody or anything, so I sat there on my uncomfortable seat and just listened to the woman rant and rant until she finally reached her destination and got off the bus. It was especially awful because on the way home from college I would get off at the terminal station and so I had the longest bus journey and I just simply hated it. I never hated anything more in my entire life than having to get the bus. Actually, that is a lie. I especially hated having to wait to get the bus. The signs at the bus shelter said that a bus would arrive every ten minutes, and they certainly did not. I was lucky to see a bus pass every twenty minutes. That is how inefficient the bus services were. Its ok now though because I am at University now and you do not have them problems anymore. Well, I don't anyway, because I live on campus so never need to use a bus.
